20-09-26
The first round of SEPL (South East Pickleball League) took place at Hurlands.
We had 2 teams, Chieftans and Crafters.
The Chieftans in division 5 had a great day, narrowly missing out on promotion to division 4. Congratulations to Emma and Stuart Lamb and Ruth and Zak Moss. First time for all of them playing in SEPL.
The Crafters also had a good day. For Karen Harrington and Alex Moffatt this was their first time playing any form of competitive games. The team of Annette Kratz, Clive Winters plus Karen and Alex finished 3rd in division 8. A steady start and a great learning experience.
Great to see so many new members getting a chance to play in SEPL.
The next round is 11-10 at Hurlands with our teams playing from 3.30pm. Club members support much appreciated.
The Lambs win the first tournament they enter
June 13th saw our club enter the PickleB 2026 series event 6 in Basingstoke. Stuart won the group with 4 wins (2 very close) and went on to win the semi-final.
The next day Stuart and Emma won the mixed doubles. This event attracted over 400 participants in 550 entries so we are very proud of our Lambs
AFPC enter the Open in Birmingham August 2026

We were well represented in all categories, and it was a great experience, but no one got through the knockout stages this year.
SEPL Round 2 October 11th 2026
The Crafters-Annette, Lorrie, Jamie and Clive secured promotion to division 7 by a points difference of 2.
Chieftans- Zak, Ruth, Tracey and Latti had some close games but unfortunately were demoted to division 6.
Well done to both teams and 6 more rounds still to go.
